Say Cheese by Bram Winter |
|
He has formulated two concepts to help him accomplish this goal that, when combined in a certain manner, can result in beautiful works of art. His first concept is the ‘add-on’ painting. In this technique, the client determines part of the painting’s subject matter and Bram finishes that part of the painting. This gives the work a very unique and personal character.
Bram’s second concept is to create a mixed-media piece by starting with a standard ‘oil on linen’ painting and then experimenting with the inclusion of a variety of innovative materials in, on or around the work.
Over the past few years, he has used objects such as crucifixes, surgical sutures (as in the work ‘Het Stalen Gezicht’ (The Steel Face)), studs, Plexiglas, stairs and even chicken wire in and on his paintings.
One of his recent works (Say Cheese) features a hole in the middle of the canvas. Another uses an LED light powered by solar energy. He even revisits some of his earlier paintings by adding three-dimensional elements in order to enrich the work.
If you are looking for a truly original painting that will leave an impression on the viewer, then feel free to contact him for a no-obligation consultation. www.bramdewinter.com |
